Sam Usher’s Profile
Sam Usher spent most of his childhood reading, drawing and forgetting to do school work. He graduated from the University of the West of England in 2008 with a degree in illustration. He now plays around with ink, watercolour and washing-up liquid.
Sam takes part in literary festivals and school visits, especially when there is an opportunity to make mess. His debut Can You See Sassoon? was published in 2011 and longlisted for the Greenaway Medal.
Sam lives in London, where he spends his spare time cycling to museums and sneaking around the Houses of Parliament. Sam makes a habit of looking like he knows where he is going, though he never does.
