Debi Gliori was made in Glasgow many years ago. Since she could sit up and chew pencils, she has spent most of her waking hours drawing and writing. To her great good fortune, several publishers have paid her to do this.

Debi has written and illustrated over seventy picture books, many of which are beloved in hearts and homes all round the world. More recently her older fiction, including the Pure Dead and Witch Baby series, has added to her many career highlights. She has also been shortlisted for all the major prizes, including the Kate Greenaway Award twice, the Scottish Arts Council Award and the Royal Mail Award.
