Ian Penney graduated from Manchester Polytechnic with an MA in illustration, previously gaining his BA at Brighton Polytechnic.

Ian has illustrated numerous childrens’ picture books, created images for greetings cards, magazines, puzzles, packaging, advertising, and design.

He is also the author and illustrator of ‘A Shop Full of Kittens’. His books have all been published in the U.S.A. and many have been translated.

Ian lives in an old weatherboard house on the East Sussex Coast of England, with his wife, two children and Nellie the dog.
